Error 80004005 - How to Fix 80004005 Error


Error 80004005 is perhaps one of the most annoying things ever to be flashed on your computer screen. The error message primarily occurs when the MS SQL database gets damaged or corrupted. Error 80004005, however, seems to be a rather generic error code as it has a tendency to pop up for all sorts of reasons.






One possible cause is the account that Microsoft (IIS) Internet Information Server is using (which is usually IUSR) does not have the exact Windows NT permissions for a file-based database or for the folder that holds the file. If this is the cause, you may check the permissions on the file and the folder. Confirm that you have the ability to create and/or destroy any temporary files. Temporary files are typically formed in the same folder as the database, but the file may also be created in other folders such as the WINNT folder.

Once you see the error, you have to resolve the issue by executing in-place upgrade repair of Windows XP by booting the computer from the Windows XP CD. After inserting the Windows XP CD, go to the Welcome Set up page and select Install Windows XP. Then go to Upgrade from the Installation Type. You have to accept the License agreement and then click Next. You will be guided to the various procedures till the Windows XP is completely installed.
